Impact of these services on the Hills Community
These services provide both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people the chance to participate and visit to learn more about Aboriginal history and culture. In efforts to close the gap between the two there has to be a mutual respect and understanding of Aboriginal Australia.
As there are many issues surrounded with Aboriginal culture and how it doesn't get recognised by today's society there are a various amount of services available to both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people today. These services provide people the opportunity to either get to know their culture and differen't people who are the same culture as well as provide a place where people can learn about Aboriginal culture and the people within their community and have a chance to get involved in any way they can.

Many people aren't aware or no much at all of how complex Aboriginal history, culture, and traditions are. If there is going to be any way of closing the gap between Non-Indigenous Australians and Indigenous Australians both need to have a deeper understanding of one's culture and be able to respect it.
Beneficial to the Darug community
Both indigenous people and non-indigenous people can come together to learn about the history of Australia and how it came to be what it is today. Most people have a pre-conceived idea of Aboriginal people and do not understand the history and cultural heritage they have and how important it is to still recognise Aboriginal people as being the First People and traditional owners of the land.
By having these services within the community it is very beneficial to Aboriginal people as it shares there culture with people who may not understand or know much about their culture and heritage but it also allows Aboriginal people connect with other local Aboriginal people within their area as well as Non-Aboriginal people who are wiling to learn and better understand their knowledge of the First Australians and how important it is to recognise them as the traditional owners of the land.
However it does majorly benefit non-Aboriginal people as they are given the chance to not only try and mend the mistake that was once made many years ago but also connect and learn from the First people of the land and of what we call Australia.

Closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians
In efforts to close the gap
Not only has the Darug nation within Sydney been effected by the loss of culture on Aboriginal people but all Aboriginal people all over Australia have been affected which has driven a gap between Indigenous Australians and non-Indigenous people.
By having the specific services the Hills District offers it is one step closer in trying to close the gap and improving the relationship between Aboriginal people and non-Aboriginal people. This is achieved by educating people thoroughly of Aboriginal people - their heritage, traditions and culture and the true history of Australia.
